I had my trial Interstim implant today and I feel great considering it was a surgery. I have minimal pain more when I bend to far but other then that great. I had a 2 hour car ride home and NO BATHROOM STOPS!!!!! YEAH. usually we stop at least 3-4 times. The worst thing was I started my period early I guess from worrying. If this is the worst it gets, i really can't wait for the real thing. I have not even has to take any pain meds yet. I personally think this should be a main line treatment instead of the last resort for treatment.

I had the trial implant on the 12/13 and the actual implant on 12/27 and I'm still having all kinds of complications so you're doing way better than me. I still require pain meds because it helps with my frequency and urgency but not the actual bladder pain. I've seen a tad reduction in the amount of pain meds I take but nothing real crutial yet.
Best of luck to you. I'm so happy for you that it's working this well for you. :woohoo: Hope the success continues. I guess it's different for everyone.
Hope the permanent implant gives you even better benefits!

YEEEAAAA YIPPIE.. I am so happy... doing back flips hurray :woohoo: :woohoo: ....... I am so happy you have relief :)
Tracey... I am sorry you are having problems... Interstim is not in any way, shape or form intended for pain... The "very few" IC patients that get pain relief got an added bonus.... I did not get pain relief... please understand that it is just for frequency and urgency, and "sometime" it helps the urgency pain..... If at any time you want to talk please email me.. we also can talk on the phone.... I researched the Interstim over a year before I did it...
Rhonda.... I didn't get any news till late.. thats why I didn't post..... not to mention I had the ICERS worst nightmare.. my comode broke.....
hugs
Cindy

Thanks everyone,
Tracey, I was fully instructed that this is NOT for pain. I went into this knowing that it was probably bot going to do anything for pain just urgency/frequency. I wish you best of luck.

Hi girls, day 2 and still doing good. I have only been up 3 times each night to void, unlike before when it was at least 10. I am able to 45 minutes to an hour without a trip unlike before 3-4 times an hour. So far so good.
