It all started when I got up to go pee and was hurrying and lost conrtol of my urine all the way to the bathroom. When I got to the bathroom I slipped and fell and thought I broke my leg or something it was hard fall. My one leg was tucked underneath when I fell on it. After I got witts about me, I was able to get up and finish what I was set out to do! This all scared the hell out of me, because no one was around to help me. Of course any kind of stress made my asthma act up and had to end up calling the medics, because my inhaler was not doing the job. The medics gave me a breathig treatment(nebulizer) and then they ending up taking me to the ER. The hospital gave me too more neb. treatments to where my heart was racing so hard I thought it was going to explode. I guess that is what happens when you get a treatment. The sent me home with some prednizone.

Then yesterday I started having an anxiety attack and had to go to the ER again. DAMN! They gave me a EEG and gave me 2 antivans to calm down. They also gave me some Percoset because my heart was hurting. They did all the tests and everthing was fine. I went to my doc today and he put me on a higher dose of a Anti-axiety drug and more predizone and a anti-depressant. Lately all I can do is cry. All these things have been happening to me and nobody has been around. I told my daughter that I took care of all of you kids and their dad and now when something happens to me, no one is around. It is extremely depressing.

The doctor is going look into getting me one of those necklaces that you push for help. He says usually they are for seniors, but he is going to find out for me. That is nice of him.

Thanks for letting me get all of this out. I have been so sad lately..

I think you are very wise to look into an emergency alert type of device. After raising a family and putting everyone else's needs before your own, now is the time to put yourself first. Take care and be good to yourself. Hope all will improve and that 2005 will be a better year for YOU!!!

I really like the idea of the necklace so you can call for help if you ever need it. Just knowing help is only a button push away should help you feel more secure. And they aren't just for old people --- anyone with a medical condition and living alone could benefit from having one.

Warm encouraging hugs,
Donna

Sorry you had such a terrible day. Glad your doctor is trying to get you one of those necklases. I am only 28 and won't go down the steps to the basement in my house alone without a phone so don't feel bad. Falling can be a very scary experience I send you much love  I hope you are better now from now on! :grouphug:

Thanks all for you nice words. It makes me cry that you all care. Well, that is about all I am doing anyway is crying!
Besides I ran out of Elmiron and they are trying to get some to me pronto. Also I think some of these extra meds that I am taking now might be making my bladder upset a little. I am taking Prednazone, antivan and they gave me some Lexapro.

Thanks again,

Hugs to each and everyone of you!!
