View Full Version : I wish my sister would ring

My sister is in India at the moment. I thought she was in the north of the country but her exhusband rang wanting to know if I had heard from her as she is in the South East.
She did ring me recently and didn't mention the tsunamis but with the way information gets through over there, she may not have known.
I am now confused as to when I spoke to her, was it before or after the tragedy? I've emailed her but no reply.
She is just as likely to stay and try to help but I want her to come home. My beautiful Helen is a Buddhist and was in India attending teachings of the Dalai Lama. But I saw on the news about a buddhist centre being washed away and she might join with others to go and help. The aftermath, its said, will be just as fatal. Please pray for her to be safe and come home.

Rosalie,

My apologies on stepping into your thread~I was in a hurry to post and was a ctually looking for a new thread area....when i tried last night to edit and possibly move this, my computer decided it wanted to quit on me....I am very sorry for your concerns with your sister, and hopefully you have heard from her, or will very soon. this is an unimaginable disaster, and I think the whole world is reeling from this as the news catches up to us.

I will move this post with someone's help, I just don't know how, perhaps a cut and paste...your sister's prayers are very important and I want this to remain open to that. Huge hugs!

Thank you all for your prayers. She's Home, back in Australia and safe.Helen wasn't anywhere near the coast as it turns out and she knew it was best to stay away from the troubled areas.
My prayers are now for the tens of thousands who have perished and for the thousands more who are unaccounted for. We have a number confirmed dead here but there are still 1200 Australians missing. We pray that all of those Aussies are just unable to contact the authorities.
I am often so gratefull that here in this country we are blessed with relative safety from such disasters. Whenever the news has brought pictures of these horrors, my children have looked to me for assurance knowing "That won't happen here". But now, with so many of our numbers travelling to these holiday destinations, we have been dreadfully affected.
I know that I am probably in the wrong thread to discuss this, but I was so panicked that here I landed.
I pray that none of you have lost loved ones.
Please pray for all those who have.

My world would fall apart if I lost her. We were never close until a few years ago. We seemed to have nothing in common. Funny how time changes everything. I can't even think what it was that made the difference but now,I trust her with my life, my soul and my children. Perhaps it is her Buddhist faith but she is the most complete person I know.

That is so great to be able to say, I too have repaired a few relationships, my family was a mess. My best friend and her deceased hubby are Buddhist and I know all that you are saying..I take a lot of energy from her.
