Hi Pregnant Moms! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying lots of little kicks.

Just checking in to get an idea of how you are managing pain relief during your pregnancy. I am 30 weeks - and my OB told me to stop taking the imipramine about 15 weeks ago. (It was working surprisingly well.) Since that time, I have been getting progressively more uncomfortable ... believe it or not, my urologist will not see pregnant patients so I have to rely on my OB for advice - and she doesnt truly understand whats happening. She is trying to treat me for a UTI. :headbang: I feel like I am going backwards ....

Has anyone been successful with occasional use of pyridium? It appears to be safe in pregnancy ...

Thanks for your suggestions!

Happy mothering! :)

sorry to hear your OB is trying to treat you for a UTI. You would think they would know better. If I had a nickel for everytime someone (docs included) told me I needed to drink cranberry juice I would be rich! Must be frustrating. I have heard others say that they have taken Pyridium during pregnancy, but myself managed without.

Good Luck.

Hi newstart and congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm 12 weeks along. I haven't personally taken pydridum while pregnant - what did your pharmacist and/or doctor say about it?

Take care!

:hi: My ob/gyn told me it was okay for me to use Tylenol & Tylenol PM to sleep. This has worked relatively well for me since my IC has gotten milder in the second trimester. I also watch my diet, take hot showers, and get a massage from the hubby ;) when Tylenol just isn't doing the trick. This may sound cheesy but visualization has always worked for me too. I just try imagining being in a relaxing place with no pain and it usually works to lessen the pain although not making it go away completely.
