I am newly diagnosed with IC and I'm so glad that there are other's out there to share my feelings with. Thanks for the great site and advice.

I wanted to let everyone know that I started drinking the bottled water "Evamor" and it has really helped with the pain that I would feel when urinating and the urgency. The water is very alkaline, so I'm sure it just helps nuetralize the acid in the urine from the foods and drinks that I take in.

You may want to give it a try. It's a little expensive, but worth the relief (especially if you really need a little caffine in the morning and don't want to deal with the pain).

I'm so happy you found water that keeps you from flaring! I only drink crystal springs. Some don't like it. I really do. I notice that I will flare drinking other brands. Odd, I know. But everything about IC is odd.... :)

water is all I drink. It's so much better for you than soda or coffee. Hard to give up but worth it

Isn't that the truth! ha! I'm just so glad that I finally found out that I'm not loosing my mind and something really is wrong and I can get some help.

Boy, I hear you there! Before diagnosis, I used to think that my bladder had some 'agenda', intent on ruining anything I tried to do! And my doctors pretty much said there was nothing wrong with me and it was all in my head. "Perhaps subconsciously I was trying to undermine myself?" I was beginning to wonder myself!

Now I understand what was happening. At home I always drank water and usually ate rather bland foods. But when I'd go somewhere,..that's when I'd indulge in soda, wine, and basically lots of IC unfriendly things.

What a comforting thought, I'm not crazy after all! Well, at least not so far as my bladder is concerned. The jury's still out in a couple of other areas!
