another elavil question please.... Can Elavil cause reflux or heartburn or any kind of tummy problems??? sorry for my questions:(

I don't remember that as a side effect that is mentioned around here, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be. Have you started several meds at the same time? That sure makes it hard to narrow down, huh?

GI side effects of Elavil (listed in Mosby's Nursing Drug Reference) are: constipation, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, paralytic ileus, increased appetite, cramps, epigastric distress (heartburn), jaundice, hepatitis, and stomatitis.

GU side effect: RETENTION.
