Pain

Hi everyone been awhile since I've posted, been doing pretty good up til three days ago, was fine woke up no pain, went to the bathroom still no pain just a normal day til about noon. then went to the bathroom and wow pain sharp like you've just recover from doing the cysto, I mean no other syptoms at all , no burning, no urgency, nothing no side cramp, no cramping at all.So wondering has anyone out there had this happen to them or am I going through something new. Call the doctor and they are thinking a flare but not sure go in wed. for c.a.t. scan but wow it really hurts I mean razor blade pain and only when I urinate so help help please someone tell me something please......aprijax

have you ateing anything that could had caused this flare??
Maybe a U.T.I hit you they can come that fast and when they hit boy do they hit hard on an I.C bladder.
I do hope your c.a.t scan comes out okay.
I also hope you feel better soon i'm so sorry you are sick on Christmas day.

I agree with Dixie - I'd want to be checked for a UTI, too, just to rule it out. I hope you feel better soon. :kissing:

Thanks for the reply, they put me on pyridium just in case is was a uti, but usually I can tell when I have one, or when one is coming on, but I've only been diagonose with IC for 9 months just never had one that hurt this bad...

Hey there I totally understand, The razor sharp pain through my urethra has always been a symptom of my IC. It kills me!! I was diagnosed in July and I denied the fact that I had it because I already have endometriosis. I did not want to admit that I had yet another incurable problem!! In August I came to the realization that I had IC. I came to this website and began the diet. I was doing really good (about 2-3 minor flare ups a week and about 2 severe a month). Unfortunately I took it for granted a started slowly back to my old diet!! BIG MISTAKE!! I am paying for it right now and so is my family, bless thier hearts!! AZO sometimes helps take the edge off and Hydrocodone, however, my doctor has been reluctant to give me any hydrocodone even though he has only prescribed my 40 pills since July!! Kinda sucks, because I have to treat them like gold. However, I thank the Lord that I don't have something more serious, like Cancer!! I hope that it gets better!!
