elivil causing swallowing problems????

has anyone had a problem with Elivil and swallowing? all the foods that I am eating or drinking seems to get stuck in my throat since starting this medication.....hard or soft foods....it doesnt seem to matter.

I haven't heard anyone mention this as a side effect. I do think you should call your doctor.

I have noticed since being on the pyridium plus (and before that the ditropan) that I get very thirsty and get really bad dry mouth. When I say Dry Mouth, I mean so dry that my tongue is dry. I have noticed that it is difficult to swallow because I am so dry. It doesn't matter what food, hard or soft, I cant hardly get it down. The nurse suggested to me that I drink more and drink while I eat and even put fluid in my mouth with my food until the side effect of the medice passes..

Don't know if it will help you or not....just my two cents worth...
