Cystoscopy tomorrow - Scared

Hi everyone. I have posted a few times. I have an In Office Cystoscopy scheduled for tomorrow morning. He prescribed a valium to take an hour before the procedure. I am just very nervous. :pray:

Very normal to be nervous. I have never had a cysto in office but have heard others mention that the more you can relax the easier it is. I am sure you will be fine. Good luck, we will be thinking of you.

I agree its very command to be nerous before you have this done. I hope everything goes okay and the nerve pill helps you it should help you relax.
I hadn't never had one done in the office so i don't know how its feels but I will send much love support and prayers your way tomorrow

I actually had my biopsy done that way. In office with a valium (my idea) ahead of time. It was not bad at all.

Hi there...I too was scared as I have had "two" surgeries. On the 8th I had an in office cystoscopy, pelvic and urodynamic test. It was similar but not as detailed as the hydro distension I had on the 17th. They didn't give me any med's that day for pain or relaxation, just lots of prayers. That test is what determined the need for the hydro on the 17th. Along with that it diagnosed a urethral stricture. The whole procedure (scope) was about 5 minutes. It wasn't too bad...just like a cath. Is that the same procedure you are having tomorrow?
