Hi all,
I have been extremely stressed lately at work and for the last two weeks i have been in flare that doesn't seem to be getting better. I was laying in bed last night and I got some really intense pains in my lower right abdomin that travels around to my lower back. I woke but all night and didn't get much sleep. I took 4 vicodin for the pain and it didn't help at all. I woke up this morning and it wasn't much better it doesn't seem to getting better as the day goes on. I am just feeling very upset :cussing: that i am always in pain. I can't call in sick to work again. I will be fired for it :cussing: he believes that i am calling in for the fun of it :cussing: . So I am not sure what to do.
ANy suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you
Kirsten

Can you call your doctor and get him to give you an excuse for work??
He can't fire you with a doctor excuse its against the law.
You may have a uti starting up I hope not, but at least a uti is easier to get rid of then just an old painful flare.
you may be able to try if you havne't already sitting in a hot tub of water and relaxing, heating pad, ice pack which every you like the best.
drinking a glass full of water with a tsp of baking soda added.
hope some of these ideas help
sending you hugs and prayers

I was also going to suggest getting checked for a UTI. I tried some over the counter Uristat this weekend for a flare that helped me a lot. You can't stay on it long term but it did help me on the short term.

I'm sorry you feel so yucky. Actually you need to check and see if Maine is a right to work state because if it is, they can let you go even with doctor's notes. I found that out through personal experience when I was fired in May...I was treated by a doc in the clinic I worked in but was actually employed by a contractor. Check into that before you get burned. I hope you feel better soon.

I agree that you should be checked to be certain you don't have something other than the IC going on.

Warm healing thoughts,
