:woohoo: I finally know what I have and what I am going through! It is such a relief, especially after having a urologist suggest pain management since "nothing is wrong with you". I am so thankful for this site. It was my primary care provider that finally diagnosed me.

Yep, I know what you mean! I bounced back and forth between being in pain with seemingly incompetent medical help, to thinking maybe they're right, nothing is wrong with me, and I am actually crazy! Which was a disappointing thought in some ways,...I have a number of 'crazy's' in my family who come up with some real outlandish stuff, little men running around stealing can-openers, and so on. If I'm destined to join their club, I'd sure expect to come up with something better than it hurts to pee! I mean really, -How crazy is that? If you're going to be crazy, your possibilities are wide open. I want to believe I have the ability to fly, or invisibility, or maybe that I'm really an alien here to investigate dogs on Earth!
Anyway, welcome to the group! There's lots of wonderful people here who share this same nasty IC, and will help you any way they can if you need them.

Just wanted to add my welcome too! And Vicki, I completely agree, I would so pick something much more fun than than IC! Hmm... maybe that I could eat what ever I wanted and never gain weight or that I really did have a tree that grew money in back yard....LOL

Butterfly,
Let me add my welcome too. I wouldn't have picked IC either but blessings I never would have imagined within myself as far as advocating for myself and the like have transpired since my dx. It stinks sometimes, but I have had good things too. One tip--knowledge is power.
Hugs,
Barb
