Hi all,
Sorry I haven't been around much these few days.... I'm at Tracy's (ibtracy) in Iowa and we are having a blast together. I signed her up and she is now a full Avon rep, and we even made a sale together yesterday!!! :D She's going to be GREAT at it. She has also made me several corn bags and my, my, my... I have rarely been without one the entire time I've been here. They are so toasty warm and the moist heat they provide soothes my bladder (which is mad about the travelling, but it can just shove it ;) I'm having too much fun to fuss much ;D )
Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement at finally meeting Tracy -- who is this wonderful, fabulous person. I think we were both worried about meeting in person (since we'd only been chatting online and on the phone) but things have been just perfect and she's been the ultimate hostess!!!
Thank you, ICN, for putting me in touch with this wonderful new friend. I am thrilled beyond belief to have found someone SO cool who also knows what I go thru on a daily basis. :D
And Tracy... if you read this, thanks for such a fabulous few days.. I know you think we didn't do much, but I have had a GREAT time and can't wait to visit again or to have you come visit me in Memphis :)

Sounds like your having fun, enjoy your visit.
It is so fun to meet someone you have only met online. I have met a few people from other boards and haven't been disappointed yet. :)

Good for you both...You go girls.
Jen...I remember when we first met in person. I was so nervous. Remember I told you that it was like going on a blind date?
It is wonderful to be with people who you do not have to explain why you take pills before you eat anything and why you have to excuse yourself to go the the restroom during dinner. I just wish we all could meet each other in person. What a blast that would be. :woohoo: We would probably wear out the toilets. :D

I am so glad you both had a great time & got to meet .
I am going to Melbourne here in Australia on Tuesday to my first support meeting & hoping to meet Rosalie who will also be at the meeting. It is such an amazing feeling to meet someone who also has IC & understands.

Hey all... I'm now home from my trip to Iowa and we had a great time!!
Sharon... I do remember when we first met; I was nervous too. It is kinda like a blind date :) I was a little nervous flying up to Tracy's too, but as soon as I saw her waiting for me in the terminal it all evaporated, and the whole time it just felt so natural to be together. I was so pleased, and had such a great time, that I want to go back and visit her again in January, around her birthday, if I can work it in :)
Again, Tracy, thanks for being SUCH A WONDERFUL friend and I really truly enjoyed my visit. I know there were a few snafus with other things going on at the same time, but know that despite them I still had a great time and can't wait to see you again! We gotta get you down here to Memphis. And if we do that, maybe one day we can get together with Sharon (SharonA) for lunch or something so you can meet yet another ICNer :D

Jen... :welcome: home...
I am so glad you enjoyed your visit with Tracy. Yes, let's get her down here so we can have a girl's day out despite IC. That would be so much fun. Amerigo comes to mind...Yummmmmmmm. :D As Jen knows, it is one of my favorite restaurants in this area and where she and I, along with our husbands first met. :woohoo:

I'm so thrilled that you enjoyed your visit that much. I'm sorry about the fits with my hubby but at least now you know i'm not exaggerating. I would love to come to Memphis - but the money would definately keep me from coming. I wish there would be some way, cause I'd love to come and see you. I miss you now that you're gone and can't wait to see you again, hopefully you'll be able to come back for my birthday, that's the plan anyway. My girls loved you to death and miss you as well. Thank you for being such a wonderful best friend and coming all the way here to see me.
I know a couple nights you were hurting really bad and that worried me but glad you're home in your own environment now with your Padster cat and your hubby.
Much love,
Tracy K.
PS
You coming back for my birthday would be the best present in the world. :woohoo: We really did hit off well, didn't we? Once you got there I was no longer nervous or had the "blind date" feeling either. It was all so natural like we've been friends forever. I would imagine we'll grow old together, now if I could just get you to move closer and SOON! :) Please know that you're always :welcome: here anytime! Thanks for a fun few days and training me to become an Avon Rep. Talk to you soon.

Oh I am so happy to read that you two had a great time and hit it off well. It is always nerve racking meeting new people but the friendships that come out of it are well worth it.
Jen and Sharon: have you both lived in Mempis all your life? Just asking because I lived there for 10months and had to get out. I loved downtown but I think my neighborhood is what scared me back home (to my home town). I totally love the zoo and childrens museum there it is awesome.

Teisha...No, I have not lived in Memphis all my life. My husband and I moved to the Memphis area in 1995. Did you say that you lived downtown? If so, I can understand why you moved. It is a nice place to visit during the day but not so great after dark. They are trying to improve it. We now have the Fed Ex Forum where our NBA team plays, a wonderful minor league baseball park, and many new places to shop and restaurants to eat at. Of course there is always Beal Street if you want the night life. The Memphis Police are patrolling more and trying to stop the pan handlers from bothering people.
You mentioned the zoo. Do you know that we have Pandas there now? They are so cute. They came to us about a year and 1/2 ago. I do not have small children so I have never been to the Children's Museum, but I hear great things about it. :)

Hey Sharon, We did not live downtown but yet in a bad area. While we were there the zoo was building the panda area. I wish we could have seen the end result. I bet it is beautiful.
