Good news!!!

Well, as some of you know I had a couple of superflares last week (one Sunday and Monday and another Wednesday and Thursday). I went in to the doc and they took a urine specimen. At this point I was so scared that my doc was starting to think that my previous uro was right and that my problem *IS* frequent infections. I had to wait a week for culture results because of the holiday, but I found out today that it was negative :woohoo: . This could be considered bad news since it means that most of my pain is from IC and not IC + infections, but I think it's *great* news because now my uro has even more evidence for my IC and has even called me in some pain meds :D. Plus, it means I can STOP taking all of these antibiotics, lol. I spoke with a different nurse today, and she was so cool compared to the other one who treats me like an idiot. And I know they were in the office late today taking care of things because they just now called me and it's 6:30PM ET.

I could really feel how everyone had been praying for me when I heard those test results :). Even if you aren't Christian, you have to have had that feeling where you just *know* things are going to work out the way they should! Anyways, thanks everyone for caring about me :grouphug: .

Stella i'm glad you got what you needed for your doctor to start listening to you.
also glad you can stop those anti. to much anti. isn't a good thing.
Sorry you been in so much pain but glad he gave you some pain medicine to help you.

Yes, I cheer when I don't have an infection, too. IC is enough without UTI's on top! I am glad you are infection free! Yippy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
