Just got the call from my mom. As many of you know, a few weeks ago my mom had to decide to take my grandmother off of life support. Well last week the doctors returned her to the nursing home..DONT ASK ME WHY  I mean, the woman was given last rites when I flew up there....thats the gov't for you...ANYWAYS.....

they are sending hospice in tomorrow at 5:00 to start her on the morphine to let her go to God gently and pain free.......This has been a hard month..first one minute the drs. say one thing..then the next, another, then they release her...I swear....I get so angry with the way our society treats the elderly on medicare or medicaid it makes me sick to my stomach!

I know she'll be pain free up in Heaven with our Saviour...that is the only comfort I have right now.

please keep my mom in your prayers, I'd surely appreciate it.

Thank you

Deb

I know this is very difficult for you. If your grandmother is at all coherent, she will feel more comfortable being away from the hospital setting. We went through the same kind of thing with my mother and my mother-in-law and they were both more content in the nursing home.

I will include you and your family in my prayers.

Sending a warm hug,
Donna
