they played in tempe (arizona) this past st. patrick's day. i was on crutches, so i stood on one foot for two hours, but it was still one of the best times i've ever had!!!

as for emo... well, Jimmy Eat World's from around here... so I'm a big supporter.

hey just wondering how old you are and what other bands do you like?

i'm almost 20.

what other bands i like... has the potential to be a very epic post!!! let's see, classic stuff you can't go wrong with, like led zeppelin, pink floyd, the ramones, the clash, sex pistols, the doors, john lennon, fleetwood mac

modest mouse, dropkick murphys, nofx, NIN, dead can dance.

my music tastes vary so much that it'd probably be easier to say what i don't like!!!

and molly's "The Worst Day Since Yesterday" is totally my flare song :)

Okay, I'm probably showing my age but: Grateful Dead

I saw them last year at Willie Nelson's 4th of July picnic in Austin. (Willie & the Dead? Imagine!) They're still as good as ever. They just released 'Grateful Dead, the movie', DVD. 5 hours of concert & interviews. I ordered it last week and can't wait for it to get here! Hoping to be baking a turkey Thursday while listening to some 'live Dead"!

I saw Aerosmith in concert this year with Cheap Trick (who were so/so but stay onstage too long) and they were totally awesome!!! It's amazing how they've spanned the decades. I don't know very many people who DON'T like them.

hey, i'm pretty young and i like the Dead... i don't think you should be allowed not to like them!!

then again, when i was in 10th grade i had a very big campaign to bring back the hippie era. painted flowers on my face and everything.

Desolationangel, I do my part to hang on to the hippie era,..my dresser is loaded with un-used perfumes received as gifts over the years because Patchouli is still my fragrance of choice! Oh, and Pink Floyd is also in my top 5 list of bands, with the CD 'Wish you were here' my particular favorite.

No Dead DVD in the mail today, -If it doesn't come tomorrow, I'll be baking to 'old Dead'!

I'll list who I've seen....

Bjork
Barenaked Ladies
Metallica
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Duran Duran
Primus
B-52's
Stone Temple Pilots
Veruca Salt
Poi Dog Podering

...and that's not even half the concerts I've been too. Gosh, concerts are so fun. I don't think I'd ever go to one again, but I don't regret all the crazy fun I had at each one. Thanks Yvette-great topic!

I think my first concert was Michael Jackson or Reba....I was like 3-ish. My mom tells me Thriller is the first song I ever danced to...no wonder I'm scarred.
