Hi I read your postings - I may have to look into Botox as an option but I have not yet been diagnosed with IC. I live in Providence and am getting tests done next week to determine whether or not this is IC. Do you know of anybody who does Botox in the area? Did it help with burning pain? Or just spasms and frequency?

Thank you so much for your help and time.

I had botox done for the first time in August. I don't have burning pain but helped with urge/freq. I'm going to get the botox in the pelvic floor next to help with pfd and bladder pain. I'm in Chicago so I'm not sure about anyone in your area. My doc contacted a doc in California on how to do it. Ask the doc treating you. Good luck.

I am having botox for the fifth time Friday. I didn't have burning unless I had infections before but now when I get infections I don't seem to have much burning like before.

I don't know of any docs in your area but I do know that many people come to my doc in Houston from other states to have it done.

IcyAngel - I'm from Chicago too. Who is your doctor and at what hospital are they affiliated?

Dear ICconfused-
Just saw your initial post regarding a botox doctor in your area. My Uro is Dr. Emanuel Friedman at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, MA. He has suggested the use of botox in my treatment, and it might be worth a visit to his office to see if this can help you also. His phone number is 508-655-4422. Travel time would probably be about an hour from Providence. Good luck.
