Sorry, I didn't see a forum for Ditropan, so I'm posting my question here since I've seen it mentioned here.

Is anyone else on this drug? If so, do you get MASSIVE dry mouth?
I am also on Elmiron and Elavil, and just started the ditropan last week. Since I didn't have the dry mouth problem before, I'm sure it's the ditropan that's causing it.

What on earth do you do to get rid of the dry mouth? Drinking water doesn't help at all and I drink about a half a gallon, if not more, each day.. I've tried sugarless gum, lollipops, sucking on ice cubes, etc. Nothing seems to make a difference. My mouth is so dry upon waking in the morning that my lips are literally STUCK TOGETHER.. like they're glued shut!!

I've heard of those Aqua Drops or something like that, but I don't know if they would help.. I don't want to waste any money - I don't have much as it is.

Any advice?

I was on a blood pressure medication that made my mouth so dry my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth. I finally had to stop taking it.

Good luck!

When I started Lexapro I had dry mouth for a couple of weeks and then it went away. Maybe yours will stop? I don't know. I know that is a side effect of that med. I hope it goes away or that you find something that helps - that would be very irritating. :(

I'm actually on ditropan and lexapro, and though I do experience the dry mouth constantly, I've been able to control it with always keeping chapstick/lip balm and a bottle of water with me. it sounds simple, but works like a charm. what are aqua drops?

When I was on Ditropan my mouth was so dry that my lips stuck to my teeth. The Elavil, along with the sleepwalking and talking that led me to d/c it also caused a dry mouth. Anyhoo, for me Gatorade Cascade Rush saved me from the dry mouth and didn't tick off Mr. Evil Bladder.

I'm not sure where to post this but awhile back I saw a medication for frequency listed on the boards & I can't remember the name. I want to ask my doctor about it. It started w/ an "I" & was something like Imaprax or Ima....something. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Please help! thanks.
