Yesterday evening our Meggie dal*****n was sniffing around in our greenhouse room while I was watching the news when I heard glass breaking. Meggie must have been chasing something out there, possibly the little green frog who lives there, when she broke a window, making a severe cut on one of her legs.
Fortunately, our vet was at home having dinner when I called and he said to bring her right over. We spent the next three hours in the vet's treatment room --- he had to anesthetize her for the stitching --- then we waited until she was awake before we brought her home.
I ended up staying up all night holding her to keep her away from the bandage, but she's much better this morning. Now I think I'll head for a nap.
A very weary Donna

Poor Meggie! I am glad that she is OK, and I hope you get some sleep soon.
Hugs to Meggie!

Gee, I feel sorry for both you and Meggie! No fun at all! I hope she heals up very fast (animals do heal so much better than we humans do!) and that you have a nice long nap!
Blessings, Lori

Awww, poor baby! How lucky you are to have such a good vet to drop what he was doing and come help! We live right near the emergency clinic and have to go there after hours (I still love my regular vet, though).
Hopefully she will have a speedy recovery ;).

She's doing well this evening. It will take several weeks for her to heal, however. She's actually leaving the bandage alone, which is a real surprise. I think she knows it's helping.

Hi Donna, so sorry to read about Meggie and her accident. Glad that she is doing well, it is so hard to see a furry member of the family hurting, take care Iris.
