Hi, I am at my wits end with a yeast infection. :bonk: I've heard boric acid can help. I just purchased boric acid powder from my pharmacy. The bottle says not to use on skin, in eyes etc. I'm wondering if I purchased the right thing. And if anyone out there has used this before, how much or what size capsule did you use to kill the yeast? I've read to use it 2 times a day and I've read just at bedtime. I have vulvodynia, so I am concerned about it irritating my skin. :( Please help!!!!!!!!!! Grace

Sorry I didn't get back to you....the 2nd was a hard day for me. I know nothing of boric acid so can't help you....I know many on this board have talked about it. Please forgive me.

Grace, I haven't tried boric acid but tried just about everything else, I finally got on top of my yeast infections by using Aci-gel (insert it at night, it maintains the ph of the vagina & yeast can't live when there's an acidic environment - or can use apple cider vinegar in water) and also washing externally with tea-tree oil diluted in water. I also used acidopholous tablets (inserted at night) plus taking high amounts orally. This works every time for me and now the yeast is a thing of the past. If I ever feel the itch starting, I use a wet towel with some tea-tree oil neat on it, to wipe around the anus and vulva, it stings a bit but it definitely works.
Good luck, you'll get on top of it eventually, just keep persisting until you find something that works.
Hello,
Yes, I have used boric acid powder. it comes in a small tub. I put it into empty gelatin capsules and iserted them at night for about 2 weeks. It really helped...good luck
