Has anyone been given UniDet

My doctor has given me Unidet to help me with some of my systems. I do not have a lot of pain but do get frequency. I have now been referred to a Gyno that specializes in bladder problems. My doctor suspects IC but wants to confirm that with a specialist.

I have been prescibed that as well.. I actually haven't tried it yet because frequency is not really a problem for me. It is mostly burning pain. Have you been diagnosed with IC? or are you still waiting to find out?
I think Unidet is a Canadian name. Where in Canada are you?

I am from a small town outside of Toronto. I have suspected IC and the doctor has given me this to help me till I see my first specialist. I know I am on the route of gyno first to rule out endo and other stuff. Apparently this new doctor has a dual major of gyno and bladder problems. Most of my problems at this time are frequency and urgency. I have looked into the IC diet and have made some major changes for me. I have completed stopped eating anything with a high acid content. I also eliminated all coffee and pop! I know if I even have a small coke I will certainly pay for it for about two days afterwards! How about you? Are you from Canada and where abouts? What's your IC story?

Yes, I'm from Canada and live in St. John's Newfoundland. The specialist you are seeing if he/she specializes in bladder and gyno would be a urogynocologist. That is the type of specialist that I am seeing as well.
I started off with a bunch of times going back and forth to my GP with what I thought was a urinary tract infection that would not get better then my doc thought it might be yeast and this went on for months. I ended up in the hospital for 5 days where they thought I had a severe pelvic infection. Ofcourse all of my tests came back negative. Finally I changed my Gp and went to a new one. she suspected that I had IC and sent me to the urogyno. I had my urodynamic testing and a cysto with hydro on sept 20 and was diagnosed with IC. I'm waiting to see my specialist Nov 2 to start treatments. How about you? what's your story? Good luck with this and you will find that everyone is really helpful on these boards.

also I have quit all caffine ( coffee was the hardest because I love it!) so you are on the right track.
