Whoo hoo!
Tomorrow I am going to a fundraiser for an local elementary school in town. It is the 2nd Annual St. Joe's Trivia Night fundraiser!
Just in the last two weeks, I have been back at playing trivia games. Love them! So my friend asked me if I would go with her to the trivia night at the school mentioned above. Of course I would! We needed at team of 4 people so she asked her brother and his wife to join us. He works at one of the local banks and she works for a transportation company. As in things like this in Yellowknife, we thought that we would need a silly team name/theme. So my girlfriend suggested the idea of a Hawaii theme. Being that we would all wear hawaiian shirts which she has. Ok. I said. But we had no name yet. So tonight I was walking home and on the way stopped in a local bookstore to browse. There was a book on Halloween costumes. I was flipping through it and saw a picture of a web surfer! Ok, picture this. A girl dressed in shorts, shirt, hat, in a surfer pose draped with that cottony web stuff that is used to decorate for halloween to look like spider webs. Get it? Web surfer! I thought that was brilliant! So I suggested it to her and she is going to mention it to her brother and sister-in-law. I figure we could just wear our hawaiian shirts with the web draped over ourselves and then when asked what our team name was, pose like surfers riding the surf! Feel free to use this idea for halloween by the way!
So right now I'm excited about tomorrow night, who knows maybe I meet a nice fellow there that likes trivia as much as I do! And I'am a little nervous, cause today at work, I was flaring like crazy! My own damn fault! Eating what I shouldn't! I' am human! Plus I think it was the stress of the day, and I'am very tired, I have not been sleeping well this week. TOnight I'am still flaring but not as bad as today at work.
Does anyone have any ideas for tomorrow night? I mean should I take a Pyridum just to ease the flare tomorrow night? I know that sounds like the easy way out and I don't like to use the Pyridium because it's not good for your liver. I don't want to be a pain to my teammates. After all I still don't know how the trivia night is going to work. Are we going to sit at tables across from each other and answer questions all night, until the winner is declared? I did tell my girlfriend about my bladder flaring today and that I am worried about tomorrow night. I just don't want her brother and his wife to know, as I don't know them that much. I wish I didn't have to worry so much about my darn bladder!
In any case, I am hoping for a fun and interesting night tomorrow! I hope there are some good looking men there. I love smart men with a good sense of humour.
