I have suspected PFD with my IC and I was talking about it with my doctor yesterday. He said that they have a really great nurse who comes in and he thinks I would be a good candidate for it, but that most insurance companies don't cover it. He said sometimes people get one session with the nurse and then do it on their own at home? What has been everyone else's experience regarding insurance covering it and out of pocket costs? And results??
Thanks!

I just did biofeedback on Monday for the first time. I was not told it was not covered .. I just payed my regular co pay.. I saw everything on the computer screen like a chart that shows how the pelvic muscles work.

Laura, would your insurance company cover it if you had the dr write a medical necessity letter and explained why it is necesary. Then if they deny it try to appeal it.
Oh Kelly, I hope the same thing happens with my biofeedback, would like to see how all the pelvic muscles do their thing. I hope my insurance will cover it, did not think about that one. :hmm: Iris.
