Can anyone that has the interstim tell me if this device has ever adversely effected their bowels at all? This is still new to me, but it seems to make me very constipated (sorry - ewe) and that is not normal for me! Thanks!

Peggy,
That's odd..I've had the opposite problem...or sort of...in my case there is some , how shall we put this delicately...anal leakage after a bm. In other words, now I have to be sure to use bathroom wipes carefully at the time and for the next three potty visits. ewe ewe ewe Sorry about this, but someone needs to talk about these things too. Though I've had excellent frequency/urgency success with the device, and would do it again.....there are others who would not with even the idea of this type of effect.
Hope others respond too. Sorry, did not see this or would have replied earlier. :)

I have to be honest, if I would have heard that prior to getting my interstim, I would have hesitated even more. I really hope it gets better for you, that's one hard problem to deal with on top of everything else :) Mine is getting a little better, but I have to be reprogrammed - it would be easier if the Rep from Medtronics would actually show up to an appt, this is getting frustrating. My interstim worked for a week after I got it, and then now its not. I hear this is normal, but extremely frustrating as I have to go clear across town to meet him, and he never shows up! In the mean time my bionic butt is growing - its like my body is pushing the interstim out of my butt cheek, the bulge where you can feel it keeps getting bigger, wierd!
