Sad news from Melanie

Melanie has asked that I share the news that she has lost her twins. It was still early in the pregnancy when she discovered that they suffered from a rare condition called Twin to Twin Transfusion. Please, let's surround Melanie with our good wishes, love, encouragement and support during this difficult time. Jilll

We are sad to share the news that our pregnancy ended in miscarriage. We lost our 2 baby boys due to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, a severe and devastating condition.

I've only been on the boards for a short time so don't know you well. I am terribly sorry for your loss. I too had a miscarriage 22 years ago. It seems like only yesterday when I hear of another mother-to-be having to bear the same loss that many of us have had. The memories of that week so long ago come flooding back. I too wish to express my sincerest sympathy. I wish for Melanie and Mike the space to heal and the courage to feel joy again. Allowing ourselves to grieve is often more difficult than we imagine. :pray:

Dear Melanie and Mike~

I'm sending you both big hugs. I know this is a hard time for you. I can't say anything that will take your pain away - and I won't even try to. Feel whatever it is you are feeling right now and take the time you need to grieve.

In time, may you treasure the memories you have of your twins by talking to others or by doing something that helps you feel connected to your sons (such as creating a memory book in their honor with ultrasound pics, foods you ate during you pregnancy, dreams you had for them, etc.)

:angel: :pray: :grouphug: So sorry to hear this... a close friend of mine recently miscarried both her twins at 15 weeks due to chromosomal abnormalities... terrible, heartbreaking thing to happen.

Make sure you grieve and do anything that might make it easier for you (light candles for each twin, perhaps frame ultrasound pics etc... ) my thoughts are with you.
