Well my cysto/Hyrod under sedation is scheduled for OCT 21.

I had one last Nov. but showed no pinpoint bleeds etc, so... my 1st uro has been treating me for 2 yrs - he told me he doesn't know what else to do, he told me he thinks I have IC and sent me to a IC uro spec.(that is who is doing the procedure next week.)

New doc is on the IC network doctors list. :woohoo: Anyway, after my consult with him he also thinks I have IC and scheduled the procedure before putting me on more meds. He gave me a couple of tests (written) he said I scored high on both of them and from my answers he said he thinks I have IC. He also gave me the link to this site. I have been reading reading reading reading all the things on the boards. The majority of you have pain. My symptoms are urge and frequency (oh and leakage). I really don't have pain per say just pressure when I have to go.

I did try the IC diet for a couple of weeks (symptoms DID GET BETTER)
I went off of it (the dies is really hard to do) and my symptoms are worse again.

Here's my questions: Does everybody have pain? Can you have IC with just freq, urg and pressure? :
PS I have had these symptoms for 3 yrs.

Sorry to have such a long explanation. Anyway I really don't want to have this disease (I'm feeling sorry for myself). And after reading the boards I feel bad for cuz I know if I have it I must not have it bad after reading most of the stories posted here. I don't want to have ANOTHER PROCEDURE! What do you guys think? :bonk:

How do you get the list to see which doctors are on the ICN doctor list? I want to see if my doctor is on there because her and her PA are very good! Chelsey

Hi, I had to go back and find where I found his name. He isn't on the IC doc list.
But anyway I find him on the ICA homepage-under phys resources - there's a list of Dr's, it says he serves as a medical advisor to the ICA for many years.

Trishie, good luck with your c/h test. I have one coming up on November 5th. Like you, my doctor thinks I have IC, but I do not have pain as a symptom, just frequency, urge and blood in my urine but no bacteria. They did an office cysto, though, and they did find pin point hemorrhages there and hunners cysts without the distention. We'll see what happens with the c/h. The only other thing it could be was a possible infection in the lining of the bladder itself (so bacteria wouldn't leak into urine), so we'll see if a month on Bactrim makes my bladder look any better than it did in July...

Had my cysto/hydro today. Results are in....I have IC :yikes:
The doc took pics and I have the classic IC bladder (pinpoint bleeds are very visable on the pics). So the doc gave me DMSO treatment while I was under. Sent me home with toradol, urised, elmiron and vicodin (also told me to to continue with the ditropan XL).
At least I know know why I pee all the time with such urgency. And I finally found out why I leak (the doc explained this to me) he said I might need bladder retraining I have to go back in a month.
I have to admit after reading the boards I really did not want this diagnosis but hey - who does?! :)
