View Full Version : Thankful for today, because I have not seen the picture of tomorrow

Today I am thankful that I could pay my taxes, that I could get dressed and take my daughter to school even after only 3 hours of sleep (too much pain!)
I am thankful my baby sister found out yesterday that she is pregnant with her first child, I am greatful that this baby is coming because my family has been torn apart since I turned to the police to get my neice and two nephews out of arms reach (or sight) of my sisters boyfriend who has been sexually exploiting them.
I am hopeful that this new grandchild can alleviate the burden my Mother and Father carry because they can no longer get access to their 3 grand children because my sisters heart has been turned to stone.
A new babe on the way, hope for tomorrow, and so blessed to have today!

It is wonderful to hear of the new baby coming for your family! Congrats to all of you! Babies are the best people in the world, love them all!

Though some in your family, including one sister, may be angry for what you did or hurt by the outcome as your parents are, you took a very brave step when you alerted the authorities. I hope your neice and nephews find the peaceful childhood they very much deserve.

It is not unusual for the significant other to be in denial when sexual abuse is suspected. I practiced family law for several years as part of my public defender position. I've seen this repeatedly. You acted in the best interests of those children. You are a heroine in every sense of the word.
