alkalizing diet

has anyone had luck on the alkalizing diet? how long till you noticed improvement?

it has been very difficult to stick with this diet.
my urine ph has been around 5. suppose to be 7+.

some of the literature that i have read is conflicting about what you can and cannot eat.
