Hi,
Just wanted to wish everyone here a happy turkey day!
The lady at the Walmart here in the Sault was wearing an incredibly big turkey hat on her head yesterday! I just love how they get into the spirit of the holiday's. It really made my husband's day when he noticed a table set up in one of the aisles selling "Krispy Kreme" donuts! I guess they had a fund raiser going on and were selling them. I've never tasted such good donuts!
Wow, but I bet they are really fattening.
The colours are beautiful on the trees around here, the red maples are giving us a display like I've never seen!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Take Care and be well, Joanne

thanks Joanne, I hope you have a great thanksgiving as well.
We are having a small dinner here tomorrow but instead of turkey we're having a whole chicken lol. I convinced my parents into it so it all works out well. I can just imagine how stuffed I'll be tomorrow :lmao:

What a great story. Unfortunately for me Thanksgiving was a bummer this year as this is when the whole IC thing flared up and even started for me i believe. I just posted a new thread here to find out if there are any other British Columbians out there suffering too..there's got to be But it is just nice to hear another Canadian too..just because i'm still seeking a diagnosis, good UR and GP. My GP situation is quite pathetic right now. BC is in rough shape health care wise. Anwyay would love to know what meds you are on or what has worked for you? And how the heck do you eat Krispy Cremes and stuff like that without it bothering you?? I guess i have more of a dilemma because I have IBS as well. Well, enjoyed your post like I said. thanks for any info you may be willing to share!

Hi Karen,
Glad to hear from you! I'm sorry to hear that you are having a hard time in B.C. trying to find a doctor. And I thought it just was people living in Ontario who were having a hard time finding doctors. There are people who come here who live in B.C. I hope one of them can help you and suggest a doctor there.
I have had IC now for about 8 years. I've tried many different drugs and combinations of treatments and drugs. Right now I'm on the Rimso and Heparin
treatments. Not both at once, I do about 8 treatments of Rimso and then go on Heparin treatments to maintain where I get to. I also take Elavil and Ursipas (spelling sorry) Most days are bad for me, I have a few good days a week. But mostly I find I'm just trying to cope.
I mentioned eating the Krispy Kreme donuts, I don't usually eat food such as that, this was just a small treat. They were devoured by my husband.
I actually have dealt with IBS also. I don't get it alot, when I do is enough!
I am trying out different pain meds right now, I don't want to take more than I need and find that what I was on was too much. I don't like the drugged feeling at all. I need to have a life of some sort.
Anyhow, I hope that you find a doctor soon. It helps when you can get proper treatments and medicine that helps.
One more thing that I forgot to mention, I was on Elmiron for a while, but found it to cause me more side effects than it was helping.
I might try it again some day, when I've run out of other options.
Take Care Karen and be well. Joanne :hi: :butterfly
