Hi all, we are attendind a "Queens Ball" for our local week long festival. It is a big to-do in our town. Hubby and I usually act as host ecvery year for this event, just to get our nose in the door basically LOL. Any way my daughter turns 12 Saturday and today I told her she could also go with us, I bought her a ticket . Then took her on a mad dash all over town to find a gown for "my olive oil" She is so tall and tiny. We found a gorgeous burgandy shimmery gown with a dark burgandy velvet bottom. Then another search for shoes, had to buy higher heels then she had, because we have no time to have this dress altered in length. Anyway just wanted to share our suprise.

SHe had a blast, she looked cute in her gown or should I say grown up. had a manicure, and pedicure and did her hair. Her brat pack of friends were all ther and at 1am we had to track her down on the dance floor. She loved it. Hubby and I took the next night to ourselves and went to scaled down version of this affair and had a much needed night out. Sure was hard leaving the baby for 2 nites but needed that time with hubby also.

I hope she has a blast. I remember my first formal event. I was in the 8th grade. Chelsey
