cumfy position?

Does anyone have any cumfy positions? I'm in a flare right now, so anything deep penetrating is out. I have learned to cope with the dryness, but I dislike the burning and having to pee aftewards. A cold compress or shower helps, but it is a huge turnoff. I feel miserable that my hubby has to "suffer" while I am.

Have you tried spooning? Where he lies behind you while you're both on your sides, and enters you from behind? You can use pillows to prop your hips and heads so that you're both comfy; however, this position makes it so that he cannot penetrate you as deeply, and also forces both of you to slow down and not be quite so vigorous. Also, use LOTS OF EXTRA LUBE. :)

If you're flaring badly though, you may want to simply forgo penetration for a while. I know it may not seem "fair" to hubby, but trust me, there are other things the two of you can do. Pretend you're kids again, and don't want to "go all the way" just yet... you'll figure out a lot of ways to satisfy each other in the meantime this way... honest ;) My hubby and I do!!

This works best for me also. Go very slow in the beginning until you get use to it. This is what helps me. Chelsey

i remember when i used to have flares... i would lay on my back with my legs kinda open it worked for me :)

Yes, flat..no pressure that way..when I lay on my side that makes things worse,,,like they really can get much worse...geeze..

"Doggie style" works for me. No pressure on my stomach and it seems not to aggrivate the "problem area" as badly. I like the spooning idea! Another thing that helps is that my boyfriend has two children at his home like I do at mine. We don't have much of an opportunity to do anything!

The best position I have found is really hard to describe in writing, but I'll give it a try. Husband is sitting up against the headboard with his legs straight out in front of him. I am over him facing the footboard. My legs are tucked under me so that I am sitting on his privates, but my legs are folded under me to either side of his legs.

The motion isn't up and down it is more back and forth - almost diagonal? But it is the most comfortable position for my IC and continues to be. (He likes the view, too. ;))
