I use to never be able to wear tampons. Infact I was unable to wear tampons until I was 18 when I became sexually active. I was wondering if anyone else wasn't able to wear tampons as well? Chelsey

I never could wear a tampon until after I had my daughter.. I don't think I started wearing them until she was about 6, that would of made me, 28...
I do wear them now... They do hurt puting them in, however, I'd rather have a lil pain, then the mess.... they do not bother me once there in... I don't know if this was the type of info you wated.. hope it helps..

Yeah, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who couldn't wear them. My sister was able to put them in at 12 and she's 4 1/2 almost 5 years younger than me. It still hurts me putting them in sometimes also, but they are much better than pads! Chelsey

my mother didn't want me to ware them when i started my peroid because i was a virgin but my cousin got them for me and i liked them a heck a lot better then a pad.
but since IC i have only wore them a few times and that was when i went swimming and it really bothered me.
I don't know if all women with ic is the same or not but I don't deal well with tampons.

I haven't worn a tampon since high school and I'm 42. I never felt like I could get them in far enough. I didn't trust their absorbency either and would wear a pad anyway so why wear both.

:lmao: :lmao: reminds me of someone I use to know, so long ago... ..
she use to wear a tampon and a super plus maxi... I never did figure out why...
it never hurts to wear a panty shield with one in case of leakage...

Chelsey,
I too had a hard time wearing tampons until I became sexually active. They don't usually bother my IC, although I know that others have a hard time with them.
Don't be afraid to try different brands as I've found some are more comfortable than others to put in.
