I know some of you are taking Vioxx as an anti-inflammatory; however, it was just withdrawn from the market because of increased risk of heart attacks and strokes while on the drug -- complete story is at the link above.

Just thought some on on the boards needed to know!

Oh my goodness, thank you for this. I know many people who have been prescribed this for arthritis, etc. That is very scary!

I'm trying to get all the Vioxx I can before it's totally off the market. It's the only thing that works for me. The other COX-2 inhibitors really bother my IC, and other NSAIDs put me at too high a risk for bleeding from my ulcer. I don't know what I'll do when I run out of Vioxx, but it won't be pretty!
