Hi Everyone

I was diagnoised with Ic in July and finally started taking Detrol for that ~ I was on it for a week and I just stopped taking it I think it contributed to constipation. My uro is out of town until the middle of Oct. However I do plan on calling his office today and letting his nurses know what is going on. I read some on the posts and feel relieved hearing about IBS. I"m scheduled for a colonoscopy the 12th of Oct. So maybe I'll get some relief & a diagnois as well.

I ended up in the ER last Sat. night feeling so......sick. I have been going to the bathroom regular But the er dr. took x-rays & said my was colon was full?
I feel so sick at my stomach a lot & real full all the time. I can only eat real small amounts. But I'm still gaining weight? And sometimes I hurt really bad in my rectum area? And the fatique is awful!! And I feel dizzy a lot?
My questions are ~ Do any of you exprience any of these smptoms?

Thank you all for being here.

Hi Mary,
Some of your symptoms were happening to me. I had a endoscopy done last month and a colonoscopy last week. I dont have all the results back yet. I hope your tests will give you some answers.

Hello,

I'm sorry you are feeling so rotten. The rectum hurting could be from straining or dry stool. I get fissures frequently. My surgeon told me to use Penaten diaper cream. It takes away the stinging and soreness like a charm!

Could you try a warm water enema? Maybe your compacted?

My main symptom was horrible cramping after I ate, and alternating constipation/diarrhea.

I'm much better since I stopped drinking caffeine. I also take Peppermint Oil capsules before I eat, and it works GREAT at stopping the cramping.

Hope you get some answers!

Hi Mishka,

I was just diagnosed with fissures ( I also have I.C.) and the pain is unbearable. I have been to two colo-rectal surgeons already. They have given me the nitroglyceron cream and told me to take baths. They have also told me to eat a high bran diet, which I do anyway.

It's been a week and the pain is unbearable. Feels like someone is taking a knife and cutting me. (Especially when I have a bowel movement)

Is it harder for people to heal these fissures when they also have I.C.

The doctors keep telling me they should be feeling better by now.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks much.
