This may be strange but when i pee there is no real flow to it, it seems to just trickle out, no matter how full my bladder is. Anyone else had this happen. I do not "push" the urine out as my uro said that is not good. I had a dialation done a year ago, could this be related to that???????? I am not sure if this makes my IC worse or not, but I do feel hot when I try to pee, because it burns and hurts to pee

This happens to me sometimes as well. Sometimes I pee a lot and it just drips, drips, drips out. Then other times I pee and it comes straight out. I'm not sure if it's related to the dialation or not? You might want to ask your uro about being hot. I have no clue what to say about that one. Chelsey

My thoughts would be maybe you need another dialation...why did you have one? I think the getting hot may be because of nerves expecting pain.....or because you are stressed and struggling to go. I know when I was in very very very severe pain I would get hot when I thought the pain was just tooooooo much. I think you should talk to your doctor about it.

I hope you feel better soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Many Icer's have a slow trickle. Relaxing when you pee might help. As far as burning goes, that's usually an issue of something ingested thats irritating the bladder. Are you on the IC diet? Not many of us can pee like a race horse :lmao: Hugs, Kathi

I think that's one of the things that go with IC. I'm one who is helped by hydrodistention and that's one of the things that I notice --- after a hydro, I have muscle tone in my bladder for several months.

Warm healing thoughts,

Sounds to me like bladder spasms. They will cause your flow to vary. I am taking Dantrium which is a muscle relaxant and it works well for the spasms. If for some reason I don't take it for a day or two (like right now, because I am out of them) I can definitly tell the difference.

Thanks for all the ideas, I am going tot alk with the urologist when i go back in 2 months. I just had a hypogastric nerve block yesterday and it is going very well, no bladder pain (i even ate pizza and pepsi to test it, no pain) but I had burning when i went pee so I know it irrated me even if i did not really feel it so i will try to be more careful. I think it is food that causes the burning, but i am not having spasms now sonot sure why it just drips out?
thanks for the replys

I am constantly like that. I can't empty my bladder a lot of times. In April 04 I had surgery to open my uretha as it was blocked almost completely. My uro told me that there was a hole the size of a pinhead for urine to pass thru. That was fixed but I still have a lot of trouble going, especially after the DMSO treatments. about 2 hours after the treatments I am in severe pain and unable to urinate. I have told my urologist but he still wants me to continue taking the meds that he has me on now.
