Wow....there was just one above us, in Kentucky, a few weeks ago.......
How big was it?

The last I heard, around 12:30pm CDT, it was a 5.9 quake. It was centered in Parkville which is near the coast about 250 miles South of San Francisco. There have been several after-shocks.

If you go to http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs you can see exactly where the current quakes are occurring. And if you go to http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Maps/San_Francisco.html you can see (sort of) where they are shaking --- Jill and the ICN are in Santa Rosa; the quakes are south of Gilroy (bottom of that map).

I haven't heard about this? I hope everyone in CA is alright. I understand what it's like to have a disaster like that. I live in Fl. I have been pounded with two hurricane's so far (Frances and Jeanne). I'll be praying for everyone in CA. I hope there wasn't a lot of damage. I'm taking a earth/space science class in college right now and I know how bad they can be from all my readings. :pray: :pray: Chelsey :angel:
