Hi,
I am seeing my pain doctor for the second time tomorrow morning and one of the meds. I want to discuss with him is TOPAMAX. I would love to hear from anyone who has or is taking it and if they find it helps with the IC/pelvic/low back pain. Also, what about the side effects - are they bad at first or what?
I have a feeling my doc may want to put me on Neurontin and not that I have a problem but I have heard it can put a lot of weight on which I don't want to do. I am quite fine with my weight as it is. That is why I would prefer if he would prescribe Topamax first because I have read that it is more likely to cause weight loss than gain. Now that I can handle - if I could only find my appetite!! If anyone finds an appetite looking for an owner, please leave me a message. I haven't had one for years and most days I could care less if I eat or not. I used to be a pretty good eater at one time - in my healthier days. But between depression and pain, who wants to eat?!
I know we are all different and for some eating is a comfort. I wish that were so in my case because I could use more nutrients plus a litle comfort would also be welcome.
Thanks for any information, advice or whatever - like I said even an appetite would be greatly appreciated!!
Do you think I am cracking up from the continuous bladder, low back and pelvic pain?! I know I am beginning to wonder myself. Anyway, thanks for any sort of help or support.
Sincere thanks,
LOUISE :bunny:
