I was just wondering if anyone know's how the symptoms of ic are different from "painful bladder" or "irritable bladder"? Are there any symptom differences, or does it come down to the results of Cystoscopy? I'm sort of trying to prepare myself with as much knowledge as I can before hounding the doctors to take me seriously. I just don't want to look like a fool I guess. So far everything I've read about ic symptoms seems to fit me perfectly, from how it started, to all of my symptoms over the last 5 years. Everything I've found so far on ic from reading sites and the messages here makes me feel there's a very strong chance that I'm on the right track.
I was completely amazed to see the messages about the stomach swelling. I've had this from the start, but assumed it must be the ibs since that was what the docs put all my symptoms including the bladder frequency and pain down to. That was in my mind the only symptom I had that I hadn't been able to account for from reading symptoms of ic. Anyhow I'm drifting from the point of my question lol.
If anyone knows the answer, I'll be extremely grateful.
