Prosed/DS

I have a question and before I call my Dr. I thought I would ask it here first.
I was prescribed prosed and the directions say to take 1 tablet 4 times a day as needed for pain and frequency. The qty she put to give was 40 so that will not last a month. Do any of you take prosed and if so do you take it daily. Maybe it's just in my head but if I don't take it everyday I feel the urge like a UTI but I know it's not. I have even been taking the OTC azo tabs because I feel the prosed doesn't always relieve my urgancy to go.

hi there, my uro gyn gave me prosed to try and it did absolutely NOTHING for me. I take pyridium instead or just baking soda in a glass of water.

Thanks Beth, I would be up to trying the baking soda thing, how much do you use per glass of water? Hopefully not a lot because I don't know if I would be able to handle the taste. :)

On the baking soda ...just a teaspoon......I have not used prosed but I would call do for a higher presciption if you know you need more.....
hopefully someone else can help you more.

Thanks Katrina, I am going to try the baking soda to see how that works. I have called the Dr. since I was running out of the prosed and she said to take it 2x a day for now instead of 4x. That way I am still getting the prosed in my body to help with the burning and frequency and only take 4x a day when I am having a bad day.
