I was wondering if anyone else has this same problem. During sex I always feel as if I have to pee. Even though I know I don't. Does anyone else have this same problem? Chelsey :toilet:

Yes -- a lot of ICers (and even some women with normal bladders) report this symptom. It's caused by pressure of your partner's penis on your urethra. You can alleviate it a little bit by using positions that don't cause his penis to rub the front wall of your vagina as much (experiment to find the ones that work best for you), and also use a lot of lube.

Interestingly, some say that if you can ignore the gotta-go sensation and have him keep rubbing the spot that makes you feel that way, then you can have a good G-spot orgasm and possibly experience female ejaculation! Now, I personally think this might not be the best idea for an ICer, because to me it sounds like it would make me flare like crazy, but it's an interesting tip to share with your "normal" friends ;)

Totally agree with Jen. I still get that feeling sometimes. When it happens my husband I change the position and that usually helps. :)

something that helps---Betamethasone valerate cream---usually used for vulvadynia but is a steroid cream that makes your vaginal walls stronger. i used to never have sex because it made me flare but with this you'll find a new appretiation for sex, seriously. and your husband or boyfriend will too:)

Thanks...I'll have to try that cream. I really cannot stand sex at all because of the pain so much!!! It hurts me so bad and I always hurt afterwards. Plus the peeing feeling. I'm always afarid I'm going to pee on my boyfriend. I can never enjoy sex because I'm trying to keep myself from peeing. Chelsey

:woohoo:
forgot to add- it is only through perscription but with most doctors all you need to do is ask- you should opt for the strongest dose which is 0.1% sounds small but such a difference. I felt like a real woman once I could have sex AND enjoy it too

I don't see my gyn for a year. I just saw her a few weeks ago. I guess if the sex still hurts after I see my uro next week, I'll have to give my gyn a call. Maybe my uro can give me something? Thanks Chelsey
