Hi everyone,

Little David is now a week and a day old. It has been quite a week, but we're all doing well. I am planning to resume my treatment with Elmiron, and was just wondering if any of you have used it during breastfeeding and what your experiences have been. Looking at Thomas Hales' book, it looks to be relatively safe, but feedback from those who have actually used it is welcome. So far remission continues, but I know that the symptoms will return - they did at 3 weeks after the birth of my daughter. I still maintain there must be some hormonal link.

Many thanks,

Melly

Melly,
Glad to hear everything is going well. I sure know how the first few weeks can get you down. I was advised by my Dr and Baby's Dr and the WIC program not breastfeed and use Elmiron. I guess it is your Dr call and the baby's Dr can sure help you with this question. It' s funny how they all have a different opion. Good Luck I sure hope you are able to continue breastfeeding. I tsure has great benefits

Isn't elmiron catagory B? I am planning to resume my elmiron instills after the baby is born unless I somehow improve on my own.
