A few months ago, I decided it was time to make my bathroom pretty. I figured that I spend so much time in there, I deserve to have a beautiful bathroom. Luckily there are 2 bathrooms in our house and I get my own.

It took me a long time to decide how to make it pretty, but I ended up with.....
dusty pink on the walls, throw rugs and towels.
a new exhaust fan that is whisper quiet.
a beautiful white sheer beaded shower curtain.
new soap dispenser and cup.
2 new pics for the walls, closeup photographs of pink roses, with ornate silver frames.

Thank goodness my hubby helped so much, especially w/ the painting and installing the fan. It's a much prettier bathroom now and it didn't involve much money or effort.

Just a thought for everyone...... even if it's just hanging a new picture or shower curtain, it might make that room in your house a little more inviting.

My husband and I have thought of redoing our bathroom... we're torn though. We are thinking of moving in June, and if we redo it in now, then I won't be able to enjoy it for now. On the other hand, it would probably increase the value and desireability of the house, so we could make out better on the eventual sale...

I dream of a big bathroom with a raised oval garden tub (jacuzzi jets included), white tile everywhere, his and hers sinks, etc.... a bathroom that looks like it belongs in a high-end spa. Now, that kind of thing would never fit in our house, but it's a nice dream for a the future :)

I think making the bathroom in your home very comfortabe and appealing is a good idea, since we spend so much time in there!

I always said the bathroom was the easiest room to decorate!

Hi there! It's interesting that you posted this suggestion - as I sort of redecorated our Master bath at the beginning of summer - It was fun and exciting and until now made no connection to my IC or to how much time I spend in there. Maybe that's why I was so excited. Your new bathroom sounds lovely!

In my bathroom I didn't do a whole lot - just added some fun accents. I added a new bright floral (daisies) shower curtain, 2 new wall pictures, a clock, a daisy picture frame for the counter (with me and hubby on vacation as the picture in the frame), new shower curtain rings, etc. It's livened it up a bit - which is nice. I am feeling a tad torn as it is defintely more of a summer theme. I'm wondering if it would be okay to keep up during fall and winter. I don't think I have the energy to change it right now - but maybe in a month or so.

Keep up the good work. I love everyone's suggestions!

Take Care!
Jennifer

Sounds wonderful, the only thing missing is Cable TV!

Ahhh.... Cable TV - now that's an idea. My husband works for the cable company - and well maybe he can pull some strings - lol. Ironically - the only room in my house that doesn't have a tv is the bathroom. Technically the dining room and kitchen don't either, but those rooms face the living room that has a big screen TV - so you can see the TV from all three rooms.

Keep up the great ideas!
Thanks everyone!

Your bathroom sounds really cute. My mom and sister redecorated our bathroom last spring. Chelsey
