Chat TipsParticipating in a chat for the first time can be enlightening, overwhelming and, in some cases, down right confusing. Just imagine 25 people talking at once, and that's what an informal chat is like. Our formal chats, however, are moderated and will be strongly guided. As you enter, however, please take some time to learn some of the basic commands that will make your stay easier and more satisfying.
Be Positive & Make Friends The Golden Rule for On-Line Support Chats: The more positive and encouraging you are, the more friends you will make. Always, always leave a negative attitude out there.
To Join the Chat - /join: Changing Your Name - /nick: Most users enter the room as a Guest. However, it makes it very difficult to talk when we have ten or more guests in the room. We encourage you to use the Nickname command to create an appropriate nickname for you! You can do this by typing: /nick (your chosen name) at the message line. If the name you have selected is already taken, you will have sixty seconds to change your name to something else. Don't worry if your name is taken! It's pretty normal out there.. so try combining your name, initials and the letters IC .
